Concept
Reducing emissions across our own production and the upstream supply chain is a key pillar of the POLYTEC GROUP’s sustainability strategy. We follow a holistic decarbonization approach that addresses both operational and raw material-related emissions.

Measures
We already rely extensively on renewable energy in electricity-based processes, in particular by using green electricity at most of our sites. For energy-intensive, gas-based processes, we currently focus on efficiency improvements, the electrification of heat supply, and the gradual evaluation of alternative technologies. In addition, we are working to further reduce emissions in the supply chain, especially in raw material sourcing and associated transport.

Objectives
As part of our “Go Neutral 2035” strategy, we aim to fully decarbonize Scope 1 and 2 CO₂ emissions by 2035 and relevant upstream Scope 3 emissions by 2039, thereby achieving net-zero emissions.
