With the expansion of our production footprint on the African continent, we at POLYTEC are not only underpinning our strategic approach of following selected customers in attractive growth regions but have also personified our technological diversity. Moreover, since June 2021, we have been manufacturing using D-LFT, GMT and SMC, as well as injection moulding.

CLOSE TO THE CUSTOMER

WITH A NEW PLANT

Directly on the coast and in the immediate vicinity of our customer Daimler is the new POLYTEC site, which is currently producing exclusively for the German premium car manufacturer. Highly complex and ultra-lightweight underbody solutions and structural components for the new Mercedes C-Class went into series production here on 28 June 2021. At the end of 2021, the headcount of the new plant with a total area of around 7,500 m2 was already over 50 employees.

Skillful mix of materials and technologies

Aluminium heat shields and sound absorbers provide additional functions in the hybrid underbody solutions. The ultralight load compartment recesses are made of locally overmoulded organosheet.​​​​​​​
