In order to actively contribute to CO₂-neutrality, POLYTEC has set itself the goal of achieving CO₂-neutral production by 2035, in line with the EU's 2050 target. In particular, we focus on our internal production processes. Through targeted initiatives, we improve the efficiency of our processes, reduce energy and resource consumption and take forward-looking measures. We define clear milestones on our path to CO₂-neutral production and complete decarbonisation.

Although natural gas is an important energy source for our processes, we do not neglect the associated environmental impacts. In the period from 2030 to 2032 we are planning a groundbreaking project in which we will replace natural gas in a painting plant and a steam boiler with alternative solutions for the first time. In this way, we are laying the foundation for a production without natural gas.
